FR L'oeuvre
La sculpture de David Mach, créée en 2008, met en scène deux sumos soulevant un conteneur. Elle illustre donc très concrètement l’activité majeure du groupe de Jacques Saadé qui est de transporter des conteneurs à travers le monde.
Deux parties pour agir doivent nécessairement conjuguer leurs oppositions dans un accord. Ronald Reagan utilisa la formule à propos des relations américano-soviétiques, en 1982.
D'abord installée à l’angle des boulevards de Dunkerque et de Paris, elle a présent rejoint le pied de la Tour CMA-CGM

L'artiste
Né en 1956 à Methil, Écosse, David Mach est un artiste vivant et travaillant à Londres. Il est devenu un artiste reconnu et célèbre, exposé dans les galeries et musées du monde entier, grâce à ses sculptures monumentales, constructions éphémères réalisées à partir de quantités massives de surplus industriels ou de matériaux de récupération.

La Fondation CMA-CGM
Elle a été créée en 2005 pour soutenir et accompagner des projets humanitaires et culturels à Marseille, en Provence et au Liban. Dotée d’un fonds de départ de 5 millions €, elle s’est ainsi portée aux côtés de Défi sport (mini-bus pour handicapés), du Rire médecin (clowns en hôpital), de Massabielle (Centre de vie à Malpassé), de La voix de la femme libanaise (aide aux familles démunies), du Centre interrégional des Grands brûlés, de la restauration de Notre-Dame-De-La-Garde, etc.

David Mach's sculpture, created in 2008, depicts two sumos lifting a container. It therefore illustrates very concretely the major activity of the group of Jacques Saadé which is to transport containers around the world.

The Artist
Born in 1956 in Methil, Scotland, David Mach is an artist living and working in London. He became a recognized and famous artist, exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, thanks to his monumental sculptures, ephemeral constructions made from massive quantities of industrial surplus or recycled materials.

The CMA-CGM Foundation
It was created in 2005 to support and accompany humanitarian and cultural projects in Marseille, Provence and Lebanon. With a start-up fund of € 5 million, it has therefore supported Défi sport (mini-bus for the disabled), Laughing doctor (clowns in hospital), Massabielle (Center de vie à Malpassé), The voice of the Lebanese woman (help for poor families), the Interregional Center for Burns, the restoration of Notre-Dame-De-La-Garde, etc.
