Historic Beaumont: An Illustrated History (pg 79)"The Rogers brothers arrived in Beaumont in the middle of the Depression. Their business, The Texas State Optical Company, eventually expanded to 109 outlets. In 1955 the brother formed Rogers Brothers Investments and became prime movers in Beaumont business, community development and charitable endeavors."
The sculpture depicts four men in business suits. They appear to be walking and talking. Two of the men are wearing glasses. The second from the right appears to be the "leader" and the one on the far left has his arms folded across his chest as if to say he doesn't agree.
