A Blessing Box is a small, often homemade structure where people leave donated goods for others to pick up anonymously. Located in a common area, people are filling them with items that will help those in need—everything from non-perishable food to toiletries.
The Little Free Pantry pilot project began in May 2016 and was basically a Little Free Library concept for non-perishable food to toiletries, now Blessing Boxes as they are called are appearing in communities where there are food instability and some such as this one are funded and hosted by State grants.
