This is the latest of the excellent hiking trails created by Nisa's municipality. Its highlights include the so called Portas de Ródão (Gates of Ródão), a place where Tagus river goes through a natural throat, a point of great strategical significance in the past, considering how easy it was to defend and control the river traffic. Another highlight are the ancient Roman gold mines.
It's a circular trail with a length of 8,5 km, starting and ending in the small village of Monte do Duque, by the interpretation center of the Roman mines. Not advised to people with knees conditions, due to a steep and long descending. The views are breathtaking though.
