"Life-size bronze statue of Hagman as Dallas TV show's villainous J.R. Ewing, in his cowboy boots and hat, hands in his lapels.

Larry Hagman, best known for his portrayal of oil baron J.R. Ewing (and Major Nelson on "I Dream of Jeanie"), died in 2012. The statue unveiling on Sept. 21, 2014, was attended by Larry Hagman's children, who pronounced it a perfect likeness. The actor lived in lots of places, but Weatherford was where he went to high school."
