EN: Saint John of Nepomuk (or John Nepomucene) (Czech: Jan Nepomucký; German: Johannes Nepomuk; Latin: Ioannes Nepomucenus) (c. 1345 – March 20, 1393) is the saint of Bohemia (Czech Republic) who was drowned in the Vltava river at the behest of Wenceslaus, King of the Romans and King of Bohemia. Later accounts state that he was the confessor of the queen of Bohemia and refused to divulge the secrets of the confessional. On the basis of this account, John of Nepomuk is considered the first martyr of the Seal of the Confessional, a patron against calumnies and, because of the manner of his death, a protector from floods and drowning.

The Baroque sculpture from 1728 consists of a double triangular plinth and a standing figure of St. John of Nepomuk. The figure of a man in contrapost is dressed in a priest's robe. He holds a crucifix in front of the fuselage with his right hand and a palm branch in his left. Plinth and sandstone statue. Statue of st. John of Nepomuk is traditionally conceived, the saint is dressed in a canonical robe with a biret on his head. The character is slightly s-curved. In the left hand the saint clutches a palm branch, in the right hand he holds a cross with a corpus. The head with long wavy hair and beard is tilted over the right shoulder.
