Crato is a historical small town, part of the domains of Malta Knights from 1232. In its surroundings one will find the train station. It is actually a beautifully scenario, a natural landscape.
It was inaugurated on the 6th March 1863.
It was completely deactivated between 2012 and 2015. Nowadays only two trains pass there every day. The station is deactivated, relegated to a mere train stop. Worth a visit. And it is currently (December 2019) for sale.
