This temple is located on the northern corner of Don Khon island, which is part of the 4,000 Island group in southern Laos, in the Mekong River. This is a large temple, with accommodation for monks, a covered area for public meetings, and prayer building. The temple is also close to the main island village.
While well equipped during my visit in December 2019, mid-morning, the temple was empty of people, no monks nor parishioners. There was no English signage, nor is this temple on google maps! I found the temple and its name on a local tourist map.
