NRHP Nomination Form"Impressive building, only one of this type in the immediate area. In section once known as Chaneyville, in part of the Heights below the Bayou. The original bank Citizens' State Bank, and the later Heights State Bank were both active in local affairs.
Commercial (bank) building, stone 2 1/2-story, Renaissance Revival. Flat roof, stone railing along top of building with medallion in center bearing initials of original occupant, projecting corbelled cornice "Heights State Bank" inscribed in stone below cornice. Recessed entrance bay."
