This elaborate church building has the date 1917 engraved on a stone in the facade. It was originally home to the 10th Church of Christ Scientist, and that name is engraved above the door. The architecture of the building features Corinthian columns and a dome.
It was occupied by a different congregation called St Stephen’s beginning in the 1960s. Locally many people still call it St. Stephen’s although that name can’t be found on the building anywhere. It has now been vacant for some time. There was a failed attempt to convert it to condos. The doors are padlocked and I was not able to go inside.
