The only national park for the live performing arts, Wolf Trap has three major performance venues: the Filene Center Amphitheatre, which features a wide variety of classical and popular music and stage performances; and the Barns at Wolf Trap, which seats 284, and features soloists and small ensembles; and Theatre in the Woods. With 70 performances from late June through early August, Theatre-in-the-Woods presents family-friendly shows at 10:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays. Amidst 117 rolling wooded acres and nestled in a shady grove, the stage is set for lively adventures in music, dance, storytelling, puppetry, and theater. All performances are recommended for children between kindergarten and 6th grade.
There is no fee to enter the park. Fees and ticket information for performances are available at (
