Text on the memorial:
This World Trade Center artifact, was transferred to the Gainesville Fire Dept. from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to be incorporated with the Fire Bell and Department Retiree Monument. It was unveiled on Sept. 11, 2011 for the 10th anniversary of the event that saw the loss of 343 brothers and sisters in New York City.
