Boyce Station is located in Upper Saint Clair, PA. This part of USC used to be known as Boyce Station and this building along the rail line was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 as a Building with identification #82001528. I don't understand why there are no signs indicating this at the site though...i think i would publicize that information!

Boyce Station is now the home of the Ramsay Corporation, which provide consultation in human resources. They have taken care of the building which has a nicely painted exterior. Surprisingly, I could find no information about Boyce Station on the World Wide Web, though I am still searching. Any information would be gladly accepted!

Update (8/12/08): I was contacted by DonCordier who used to live right across the tracks from the station. Here is the information he provided me with

"I lived accross the tracks and on the same side of Boyce Road from my birth in 1945 until we moved to Finleyville in 1953. Our address was 1100 Boyce Road but that structure no longer exists.

The family that resided in the Boyce Station structure at the time was the Haney's (if my memory is correct, Mrs. Haney was in her sixties at the time). While they were living in the home (the old station) there was a small wooden building qaccross and diagonal to their home which was a small shelter for those waiting for a train. That building was removed sometime between 1953 and a few years later.

Accross the road and on the same side of the tracks as the old (current historical station) ws the home of the Chapel's. Howard Chapel and family.

My Grandmother, Carolyn Forrest, owned the home in which we lived (it was divided into four homes at that time) until her passing and by that time it had been purchased by her Daughter (my Aunt) and her husband (Ann & Vincent LoGreco).

The home was eventually sold and the buyer left it unoccupied for so many years that it eventually collapsed from wood rot. BTW - According to my Grandmother, that home was built in 1900.

Some other information is: I recall that we were just East Southeast of Chartiers Creek and the steel grated bridge, not too far from the Mayview Hospital (approximately 2+ miles).

About a quarter mile further "up the road" from the tracks Marilyn Boyce and her family resided. Her Grandfather (and his ancestors) owned and farmed most of the local land around the area. Their surname is the name for the area known as "Boyce" and for the Boyce Station."
