(de) Rechts vom Haupteingang der im Jahre 1898 erbauten Kirche St. Dionys in Lehmke ist die alte Kirchglocke ausgestellt.
Die Inschrift lautet:
(vorn) Den Lebenden zur Mahnung / A.D. 1951
(hinten) O Land, Land, Land / Höre des Herrn Wort! / Jerem. 22 V. 29 / Der Kirchenvorstand Lehmke / Sundermann P.Besenthal / Müller Oetke Schulze
(en) The church St. Dionys in Lehmke was built in the year 1898. At the right hand of the main entrance the old bell is displayed.
The inscription is:
(front) To the Admonition of the living (*) / AD 1951
(back) O land, land, land / Hear the word of the Lord! / Jeremia 22,29 / The committee of the Lehmke church / (five names as cited above)
(*) As the year 1951 is only six years after the end of World War II, my personal opinion is that the inscription might better be translated less literally to
"To the admonition of those who did survive".
