"L’abbaye Saint-Pierre fut saccagée en 1794 et détruite en 1817. Actuellement subsistent :
– une partie du mur d’enceinte avec sa porte,
– les bâtiments de l’ancienne ferme abbatiale,
– les bâtiments du 18e siècle,
– la collégiale Saint-Ursmer et
- la Portelette (18e siècle), qui constitue un attrait touristique.

Cette belle entrée baroque, dite Porte de Thudinie ou encore La Portelette, était la sortie sur la route conduisant à la ville de Binche. Elle fut sans doute construite par l’abbé Ursmer Rancelot (décédé en 1718) dont on sait qu’il fit d’importants travaux.

Sur la porte, on peut voir trois œuvres de E. Malherbe : La pauvreté de Landelin, La bonhomie d'Ursmer et cachée dans le jardin, La mère crucifiée."

"St. Peter's Abbey was ransacked in 1794 and destroyed in 1817. Currently exist:
- part of the surrounding wall with its door,
- the buildings of the former abbey farm,
- 18th century buildings,
- the collegiate church of Saint-Ursmer and
