Ruderer (German for rower) is a sculpture by local sculptor Monika Spiess. The ten-foot tall bronze sculpture shows an athletic man holding two oars.

The statue was dedicated in 1976 in front of the Beetzsee Boat Race Track, or Regattastrecke Beetzsee in German, to honor the men and women of the Brandenburg rowing club who won five gold medals at the 1976 Olympic Games.

There is no plaque or sign - we found all relevant information about the sculpture at Wikipedia.

The pictures, of course, are our own.
