While the National Register's Registration Form (see Optional link) lists this and other properties at A St NE, today, the street is noted as "Caddo St NE" on signs. The Registration Form dates this commercial style building to about 1910, and provides some background:

This one-story, painted brick, flatroofed building has a central, wood, glazed, paneled door with double, fixed, display windows on either side. There is a flat metal awning above the storefront with the multi-pane, fixed, wood transom window visible above this. There is a painted brick table on the upper wall.

---

The awning is long gone, and the windows look very much like the windows used in the historic buildings across the street. They look to be one-to-one replacements for the windows that were once here, and Google Street Maps has a view of the building in 2008 when it was green.
