This fresco painted along the entire length of the wall of the Municipal Museum of Fine Arts in Brest, representing a stormy sea, is in fact a composition created by Pascal Hersant after four different works by Léopold Le Guen, Georges Lacombe, René Quillivic and Charles Lapicque, and was created by muralist painter PInglot, used to monumental works.
In the end, this project could represent the Brest Gully in high weather when the raging sea breaks in the reefs and can drag a boat to the bottom in less than two.
With a clever blend of realism and supernaturalism, this fresco, typically Breton, in the heart of the city is a real feast for the eyes.
