While the National Register's Registration Form (see Optional link) lists this and other properties at A St NE, today, the street is noted as "Caddo St NE" on signs. Additionally, for obvious reasons, only "114" appears on the front of the building, although the Registration Form lists the property as being "112-114." It dates this commercial style building to about 1917, and provides some background:

This one-story, red brick, flatroofed building has two storefronts. Both storefronts have been covered with the south storefront retaining the only opening on the façade. The centrally located opening consists of a metal, glazed, slab door and a single, fixed, metal, display window. Although covered, the original storefront openings remain apparent. The upper wall also retains its simple band of decorative brick.
