The mine operated on this site from 1881 to 1889.

The area consisted of an open cut and also a series of shafts aand drives.

Here you will find an entry to one of these drives.

The drive enters a single tunnel that splits after approx 20m.

Remnants of the tram line running in the area to the former 10 stamp battery are evident.

You can then travel another 10-15m via 2 different drives.

There are also signs in the area of a battery
