"Situated far north of Grande-Terre, La Grande Vigie's point of view offers views of the Désirade, Montserrat and Antigua on a clear day, just by standing on its cliffs, more than 80 meters above sea level. the sea, to enjoy this exceptional panorama.

It is in some ways the North Cape of Guadeloupe that you discover here. After a stroll on a rocky road, the tip reveals the spectacle of a sea often unleashed, spewing its waves at the foot of the cliffs.

At the tip of La Grande Vigie, we feel like we are at the end of the world. This site, one of the wildest in the West Indies, is a little reminiscent of the Normandy and Brittany coasts. But do not be fooled by their appearance, you are here on the border between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.

The vegetation is poor because of the permanent wind and the resulting drought. You can see resin trees, red gum trees and plant species that know how to adapt to this particular climate. "
