A sit-by-me sculpture of a girl reading to her dog is located next to the pavilion at the Limon Heritage Museum. This is an adorable sculpture, of the girl and dog sitting on a bench that honors Shirley Bandy Spaid (1944-2012).

The young girl sits cross-legged on the bench, with the puppy sitting next to her, looking up. The girl is wearing overalls and has her hair in pigtails. Her right hand holds the book open, and her left hand is resting on the back of the puppy. She is reading Old Yeller to him.
