The plaque reads:
With the establishment of the 700 Ranch, Ardmore's history begins.
The Roff house was the first building erected within the future city limits of Ardmore in 1870.
Located along the West fork of the Anadarche Creek in Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory, it remained active until 1887 -- at the birth of Ardmore.
Moved to present site, February 1991, by Ardmore Parks and Recreation Board, Matt Meyer, Director.
