Restoration 1986: By the DAR and VFW Post 2025
1995 Restoration: Albert Johns, V.F.W. Post 2025 and American Legion Post #270
This monument originally was on a US highway, in a roadside turnout, at the southern limits of Rolla. The 1986 restoration was at that location. The 1995 restoration moved it the a safer and more accessible location within the city cemetery. The cemetery is not fenced and access is always possible within one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset.
