This marker is the southeast corner of the old Carondelet Common Fields, which is marked by a stone set late in the eighteenth century. It was also the point of beginning of the original survey of the Spanish grant to the inhabitants of the Village of Carondelet. The stone is in the front St Paul's Episcopal Church.
