Das Mausoleum wurde als Gedächtnishalle zur Erinnerung an drei Todesfälle in der Familie errichtet: Lothar Faber stirbt 1893 im Alter von nur 42 Jahren, seine Söhne Eberhard und Alfred bereits Jahre vor ihm im Kindesalter. Das Mausoleum ist ein Sandsteinbau in klassizistischen Formen mit einer Tempelfront. Es ist auch in der Liste der Baudenkmäler aufgeführt: D-5-64-000-1600
The mausoleum was built as a memorial hall to commemorate three deaths in the family: Lothar Faber died in 1893 at the age of only 42, his sons Eberhard and Alfred already years before him in childhood. The mausoleum is a sandstone building in classical forms with a temple front. It is also listed in the list of monuments: D-5-64-000-1600
