Buckyball is a spherical, soccer ball–like form of Buckminster Fuller’s geodesic domes. It is a series of interconnected pentagons and hexagons with 4,500 LED nodes located along the edges. Artist Leo Villareal is known for his light sculptures, another of which is "The Bay Lights" displayed on the San Francisco Bay Bridge.
