"There are two cemeteries connected with the Saint Paul United Church of Christ (formerly Saint Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church of Christ, and before that, Saint Paul's German Evangelical Lutheran Church). The "Old" cemetery is an old pioneer burying ground. No records were kept before 1866 but the cemetery is much older and there are tombstones bearing dates in the 1850s" ~ Find-A-Grave
"In 1904, an acre of ground was bought ... for a new cemetery; adjoining the church property. A Cemetery Association was formed and the congregation is working toward Perpetual Care for the future.. These cemeteries are well fenced and well cared for.
Oakland school use to stand next to this cemetery and the original name may have been Oakland Cemetery. There are references to burials in Oakland Cemetery that match burials in this cemetery. Thus both names are mentioned in this record." ~ MoGenWeb
