This illegal graffiti on the Florence City Hall, the Palazzo Vecchio, is believed to be created by Michelangelo, who had an unquenchable desire to create. It's the left profile of a man etched into the stonework of the building.
No matter its origin it has become a celebrated and protected piece of public art.
