"Dans les murailles du rempart du Midi sont percées des sorties dérobées ou poternes, qu'en wallon on dénomme "postys".
Ainsi le posty Arlequin menait à la Piraille ou le posty des Béguines ou des sœurs grises qui permettaient aux religieuses de gagner l'hôpital Sainte Elisabeth et d'y soigner les malades. Ces postys n'étaient pas carrossables.
Le posty Bury est un passage voûté qui a gardé son aspect primitif et qui passait sous les jardins des maîtres de forges de Bury. Lorsque l'on descend les marches, apparaît encore, sur la droite des assiégeants, la tour crénelée qui commandait ce passage. Elle est un vestige de l'une des dix tours qui durent être arasées en 1408, après la bataille d'Othée. Lors des guerres du Hainaut, liée à la Bourgogne contre la Principauté de Liège, Thuin dut démanteler ses fortifications sur ordre de Jean sans Peur, duc de Bourgogne."

The posty Bury is a vaulted passage that has kept its primitive aspect and which passed under the gardens of the Bury blacksmiths' masters. As we descend the steps, the crenellated tower that commanded this passage still appears on the right of the besiegers. It is a remnant of one of the ten towers that had to be levelled in 1408, after the Battle of Othea. During the wars of Hainaut, linked to Burgundy against the Principality of Liege, Thuin had to dismantle his fortifications on the orders of Jean sans Peur, Duke of Burgundy ."
