This former school, made of red brick and two-and-a-stories tall, is located at 150 N Center Street. Entry into school is made from the west. The entryway is via two wooden doors centered in the west facade. Stonework flanks the entry only on the first floor. The first floor fenestration is completed by three two-over-two windows on either side of the entry.

Second floor fenestration consists of a single two-over-two window above the entry with the three two-over-two windows on either side. The top half-story has three dormers each with two, double, two-over-two windows. The roof is cedar shake.

The gate is the outstanding feature of this property and dates before the Bed and Breakfast. The gate is made of wrought iron and serves as the entryway into the old school. The top of the gate is approximately 9 feet from the ground. The top of the gate looks like a Greek tympanum - the triangular architectural structure seen held by columns. In this case, the "columns" are the gates themselves. The left and right top sides of the tympanum have intricate ivy work. The reason for ivy is that it symbolizes friendship. There are three fleur-de-lis finials - one at each end and one at the top. In the center of the tympanum, the words, Torrey School 1916, appear.

The two gates are approximately 7 foot tall. The bottom section has straight wrought iron bar work design. The upper section has center ivy panel suspended by thin iron work - the panel almost looks like it is floating.

This is a really nice gate - not exactly what you expect to come across in a town of 171 people!
