The Baroque sculpture of the canonized Czech martyr from 1721 was built at the expense of the Chapter in 1724. The sculptor George Anton Heinz created it while working in Unicov, Olomouc, and Znojmo. Trees were soon planted around it The steps before the statue were built in connection with the remodelling of the cathedral (
visit link) in Gothic style and major relief adjustments in its vicinity.

Barokní socha roku 1721 svatoreceného ceského mucedníka zpovedního tajemství byla postavena nákladem kapituly v roce 1724. Zhotovil ji sochar Jirí Antonín Heinz, cinný v Unicove, Olomouci a Znojme. Záhy byly v okolí vysázeny stromy. K stupnovité úpravé pred sochou došlo v souvislosti s regotizací katedrály a velkými terénními úpravami v jejím okolí.
