This headstone was obviously placed at a much later date, and refers to Dalby Springs. That community is northeast of here in Bowie County, and is often regarded as a ghost town.

The family name, "Fields", is on the plinth, and the panel reads:

In Memory of

---*---

Winna
Ann
Consort of

Rev. J.W. Fields,

Born
Nov. 12, 1826,

Died at
Dalby Springs,
Bowie Co. Tex.
Sept. 17, 1864

-----

The epitaph on the reverse is:

"Her works
praise her in
the gates,"
"Her children
rise up
and call her blessed."
