On display in front of the old Carnegie Library at 105 E. 1st Street, this bell is hanging from a circular iron wheel. A small plaque beneath it reads: South School Bell / 1908 - 1909 / Jack Loftiss. The bell is not mounted with its yoke.
Alongside the bell display are two bronze cornerstones from two former school buildings: Lincoln Grade School - 1936 and Cordell Grade School - 1950.
