The love padlocks are attached to the cabling of the Weir Bridge over the River Wye in Bakewell.

The love locks first started to appear on the Wye Bridge in 2012 and were the first to appear in Derbyshire, presently there are many thousands now attached to the bridge.

'Apparently 'lovers' attach a padlock embossed with their names to the bridge then throw the key in the river. This is supposed to symbolize their everlasting love..'
