The Charles Weldon Veterans Memorial Park grew out of the corner of Belmont and Jupiter Avenues, which was struck by a small tornado and then cleared of fallen trees in 2001. It is now a beautiful park with a purpose: honoring Plainfield Township’s veterans. It is the venue for the Township's annual Memorial Day and Veterans Day celebrations.
The inscription on the memorial reads:"Dedicated to all the men and women of this community who helped to preserve the freedom of this great nation.
