AmberGlen Park is located at 20025 NW Gibbs Drive Hillsboro, Oregon. There is on-street parking on NW Gibbs Drive. This is a new park still under construction. The coordinates are set at the Elemental Sequence sculpture. The park is open dawn to dusk.
From the park website: "Elemental Sequence, is the latest public art installation by acclaimed artist Dann Nardi. Inspired by the area’s rolling hills, winding waterways and towering trees, Elemental Sequence consists of a series of undulating vertical forms on either side of low, gently curving benches. Constructed from custom-tinted concrete, the piece evokes hills, trees and a winding stream under a dynamic sky. Nine feet at its tallest, the installation is striking from a distance. “Almost Stonehenge-like,” according to Valarie Otani, Public Art Supervisor, who convened the committee of artists, residents and City staff members who chose Nardi for the commission. Yet, Elemental Sequence is designed for up close viewing that creates a personal experience. “Once you walk through the piece you get a sense of rhythm,” says Nardi, adding that he hopes viewers intuit form, line and symmetry from the negative spaces. “It’s about dichotomies,” he says. “There’s a strong inside/outside component.” Nardi also points to the work’s ability to appear simultaneously intimate, connected and big."
