Beschreibung und Geschichte der Bahnstation
Seit 1.10.1849 ist die einst 'Freie Reichsstadt Roth' an das deutsche Eisenbahnnetz angebunden. Heute ist der Bahnhof Endpunkt des S - Bahnnetzes von Nürnberg. Es zweigt aber auch noch heute die Nebenstrecke nach Hilpoltstein ab, welche früher bis Greding verlief.

Description, History and Function
Since 1.10.1849 the once 'Free Imperial City Roth' is connected to the German railway network. Today the railway station is the end point of the S - railway network of Nuremberg. But even today it branches off the branch line to Hilpoltstein, which used to run to Greding in former times (so-called Gredl line).
