Long Description:
Visitors to the church will see the central granite rest used for resting the coffins before the funeral ceremony. What is perhaps unusual for this Lynch-gates coffins rest, is that of its length, images show such.
The reason the coffin rest was constructed so long was-
As stated being in the heart of the mining community, the dangerous work and conditions the mined under. It would have and did happen that many miners lost their lives
As a consequence the coffins were "lined up".

Within the Lynch-gate there are two information boards, one giving notices of the church and the other is a "timeline" of the church and the history therein.
(due to the size images of the the whole could not be achieved, but had some very interesting reading for the visitor)
