The small community of Prairie Home may be receiving a Dollar General Store according to its city website. The closest Dollar General at this time is in Boonville. "According to http://prairiehome.ourlocalview.com//HomeTown/, the store will open soon.

'“They will be looking for 6-8 employees for the soon to be built Prairie Home store at 328 Highway Drive (Highway 87). The real estate closing will take place on September 15 and construction will be under way very soon. The new store will be open for business within the next few months,” according to the city website.

"This will be a boost for the city of less than 300 people. This excitement has drawn much discussion on Facebook as many are happy to see the small community get a store such as this.
