The official address for Kristina Kiss Park is 100 Akerson Road. The memorial plaque is off the parking lot at the northern edge of the almost linear park. It is appropriate that the soccer field was also named for
Kristina Kiss.
In recognition of her achievements as a Canadian soccer player and a positive role model for young, aspiring athletes. She has made 75 appearances on Canada's national team, has placed fourth at the FIFA Women's World Cup USA 2003 and has attained the Canadian Association's first-ever qualification for the 2008 Women's Olympic Football Tournament. Her athletic pursuits were launched in the City of Ottawa, as a participant of her hometown soccer club and a prizewinner in the BMO National Championships with South Nepean United. Kristina's enthusiasm and devotion to her sport serves as a prime example for future Canadian athletes.
En reconnaissance de ses exploits comme jouesse de soccer canadienne et modèle pour les jeunes athlètes.
