First, this site is now a totally free, extremely well preserved museum, staffed by volunteers and operates from private funding.
The official ASCE plaque states it was the last steam powered water equipment used in the U.S. and provided 106 years of treatment service for Shreveport. An extremely interesting location to visit, loads of history.
Location: 142 N Common St, Shreveport, LA 71101. Coordinates given are for main entrance, not plaques which are located inside the site.
