The clock has for faces, consisting of a white dial with black hands, the numerals are in the Thai language. The clock was constructed to honour the 84th birthday of the previous King of Thailand (Rama 9). On the four sides, at eye level, are images (relief) of the King performing his various functions.
The clock is a striking feature of the park, seen by joggers as they jog along and any number of locals and tourists who visit the park. The park is a pleasant locale in the busy city.
