The name "Eleanor Lake Park" is a giveaway that this park is on a lake, which conveniently happens to be within the confines of the town. At the south end of the lake is a ball diamond, then a children's playground to its north, then a long expanse of grassed area with plenty of benches and picnic tables under shade trees. Finally, to the north is the beach and beach house.
A fairly extensive playground, is has a base of pea gravel throughout. The major part of the playground is a long, rambling Jungle Gym structure with myriad fixtures and additions including slides, walkways, stairs and climbing and hanging structures. There's even a miniature rock climbing wall. At the north end of the playground, away from the Jungle Gym, is a quadruple steel framed swing set designed for two distinct age groups. There are also several small ride-on fixtures. Completely fenced to help keep the littlest ones in check, there are benches inside and outside the fence and picnic tables nearby. The nearest washrooms are in the beach house about 220 metres north, beside the beach.
