The Lincoln Central Bus Station, part of a £30 million Transport Hub scheme in the city centre, is officially open.
Officials at the City of Lincoln Council were joined by MP Karen Lee and other special guests to cut the ribbon at the new station on the morning of Monday, January 29.
Passangers flocked to use the service for the first time on Sunday, touring the modern facility opposite the Lincoln Central railway station.
The facility off Since Street includes 14 bus bays and will see approximately 650 departures each weekday.
It also has its own independent cafe, public toilets and changing facilities, as well as digital display boards and indoor seating.
The Lincoln Transport Hub also includes a 1,000 space car park, improvements to the railways station forecourt and a new pedestrian plaza linking the area with the Cornhill Quarter, where improvements are also ongoing.
Along with the new bus station is also a fleet of new buses, run by Stagecoach.
After a £3 million investment, passengers will see three new vehicles complete with eco-leather seating and USB charging points.
