The National Register's Nomination Form (see optional link, below) lists this one as #37 in a list of contributing buildings, and describes it thus:
"Palace Cafe (138 N. Main): 1910, 2 stories; has been the Palace
Cafe since building was built; 1st floor has had wood siding added;
2nd floor is simple red brick with little ornamentation; 2 double
hung sash windows 1 over 1 light."

Downtown Sheridan has a color photo of the Palace Cafe from days gone by, and they note that the restaurant was fairly upscale. At some point, it was acquired by the folks who opened the Cowboy Cafe, and they have altered the lower front façade to put in an outdoor patio.
