In 1946, John O'Rourke replaced wooden diner at this location with this Art Deco style Mountain View diner. Ownership was passed onto his Brian O’Rourke and his cousin, John Sweeney O'Rourke in 1977. On August 31, 2006, O'Rourke's Diner was severely damaged in a fire. So popular was the restaurant that the community raised the funds necessary to repair the diner. O'Rourke's diner reopened in February 2007.
O'Rourke's Diner is a contributing building to the Main Street Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.
