Jean-Pierre Morin est né à Saint-Anselme de Dorchester en 1951. Ses œuvres font partie de nombreuses collections privées et publiques au Canada dont celles de la Banque d’œuvres d’art du Canada, Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, Prêt d’œuvres d’art du Musée du Québec, Musée du Bas St-Laurent, Musée régional de Rimouski, Musée de Joliette, Banque Nationale du Canada, collection de la Capitale Nationale et collection Loto-Québec. Depuis 1988 Jean-Pierre Morin a réalisé plus d’une trentaine d’œuvre publique dont une vingtaine dans le cadre du programme d’intégration des arts à l’architecture. Parmi les œuvres publiques signées par Morin, on compte celle du Siège social de la SAAQ à Québec, celle devant le Centre de Foire Expo-Cité de Québec, celle située dans le Parc Molson à Montréal, celle installée à l’entrée principale de la Grande Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec à Montréal et celle installée au 18 Avenue Yorkville à Toronto. En février 2008, Jean-Pierre Morin a reçu le Prix de la Fondation Monique et Robert Parizeau. L’importante récompense remise par le Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec et la Fondation à un artiste québécois œuvrant dans le domaine de la sculpture comprend une bourse servant à la production d’une sculpture qui a été installé en novembre 2008 devant l’entrée principale du Musée.

Jean-Pierre Morin was born in Saint-Anselme de Dorchester in 1951. His works are part of many private and public collections in Canada including the Canada Art Bank, Museum of Contemporary Art of Montreal, Loan Museum of Quebec Art, Museum of the Lower St. Lawrence, Rimouski Regional Museum, Joliette Museum, National Bank of Canada, National Capital Collection and Loto-Québec Collection. Since 1988, Jean-Pierre Morin has directed more than thirty public works, including twenty as part of the program of integration of the arts and architecture.
