'OEUVRE D'ART CODEX POPULI
L’imposante création de l’artiste Ludovic Boney mesure 23 mètres de hauteur, soit l’équivalent d’un bâtiment de sept étages, ce qui en fait la plus haute œuvre d’art de Québec.
Sur le mât incliné de la sculpture, 25 colliers soutiennent 9 520 crochets suspendus. Chaque crochet a été découpé au laser avant d’être enfilé manuellement sur l’un des fils d’acier.
Ces crochets symbolisent notamment les décisions politiques et fondatrices prises lors de la Conférence de Québec.
C’est au cours de cet événement historique qu’ont été élaborées les règles de fonctionnement du Canada sous la forme de 72 résolutions qui seront à l’origine de l’Acte de l’Amérique du Nord britannique et de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867. Il s’agit donc de la plus importante des trois conférences qui ont mené à la naissance de la Confédération canadienne.

The imposing creation of the artist Ludovic Boney measures 23 meters high, the equivalent of a seven-storey building, making it the highest work of art in Quebec.
On the sloping mast of the sculpture, 25 necklaces support 9,520 hanging hooks. Each hook was laser cut before being manually threaded onto one of the steel wires.
These hooks symbolize in particular the political and founding decisions taken at the Quebec Conference.
It was during this historic event that Canada's operating rules were developed in the form of 72 resolutions that will form the basis of the British North America Act and the Constitution Act, 1867. This is the most important of the three conferences that led to the birth of the Canadian Confederation.
