The First Presbyterian Church of Milford Pennsylvania is one of the most recognized buildings in the region.
"The Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Milford began as an evangelistic outreach among logging families in the newly-settled town of Milford, holding its first formal service of Worship several years later on September 25, 1825 as a congregation of the United Presbyterian Church of America (now the Evangelical Presbyterian Church).
"More than 191 years later, the congregation continues to be at the heart of Christ’s ministry to Milford’s children, teens, and area families with a vital Sunday School, active Youth ministry, and a variety of opportunities for young adults, parents, and seniors all to become more like Christ, serve Christ, and suffer for Christ’s sake as we seek the Kingdom of Heaven together." - The Evangelical Presbyterian Church
"EPC of Milford Pastor Benjamin P. Willis said, “The new name speaks not only of our beliefs to love and serve the community but to reach out to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.“
The new name, the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Milford, became effective after a congregational vote on October 2, 2016.
"The cornerstone of their present church building was laid on September 1, 1874." ~ The Wayne Independent
